Mazda de Mexico Vehicle Operation is looking for: “Assistant Manager Legal” Objective: Provide support to the Legal Manager in identifying and mitigating legal risks, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and offering guidance on contractual and corporate matters. Responsibilities include assisting in the drafting and review of contracts, managing litigation and dispute resolution processes, and advising internal stakeholders on legal issues affecting company operations. Requirements: Advanced English Level (Mandatory) fully capable to maintain business English conversations 5 to 10 years of professional experience in a corporate legal department, ideally within a Japanese company. Knowledge in corporate, commercial, labor, and administrative law. Notions of civil, criminal, personal data, intellectual protection, antitrust, clean energies, environmental, hydrocarbons, and immigration law will be an added advantage. Experience in managing corporate legal matters, preferably within a Japanese company, providing legal advice and support to various departments on their legal obligations, coordinating and collaborating with external law firms, and liaising with regulatory authorities. Work ethic, interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills, organizational skills, analytical and research skills, critical thinking, attention to detail, creative problem-solving, teamwork, and initiative and independence. Activities: 1) Managing all kind of legal matters inside the company such as: Corporate (BOD meetings, shareholder meetings, PoAs, etc.) Commercial (letters, agreements, amendments, etc.) Labor (activities, disputes, REPSE requirements, etc.). Administrative (payments, reports, etc). Any other aspects related to the legal field. 2) Developing and implementing the company's legal strategies in the different fields of law for ensuring regulatory compliance. 3) Providing legal advice to other departments. 4) Acting as contact person and liaison between the company and external law firms. 5) Manage budget for activities assigned. 6) Implement initiatives for continuous improvement of performance and processes.
