Job Overview We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a PE Electrical Design Engineer. This role will involve performing electrical circuit design, component selection, and testing of power electronics products. Main Responsibilities Design and develop power electronics circuits and systems to meet technical product requirements. Conduct electrical debug, test, characterization, and validation of power electronics designs. Select and test key, critical electrical components. Create the design and layout of circuit boards, substrates, and electrical interconnects/bus structures. Develop optimized electrical, mechanical, and thermal solutions utilizing balanced requirements to meet schedule, technical, and cost constraints. Work with systems engineers and program teams to ensure proper allocation of requirements and verification of those allocated to the electrical competency. Support product development teams with technical design analysis, trade-off studies, FMEAs, design reviews, and customer presentations. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required. 10 years' experience required in some combination of automotive electronics product development, power electronics circuit design, modeling, simulating, and testing. Familiarity with analytical and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of designing, integrating, and testing DC to AC inverter motor drives and controls preferred. Strong oral and written communication skills. Engineering internship experience in a manufacturing/engineering industry preferred. Understanding of engineering theories related to designated engineering function and applies those theories to complex tasks and situations.
