About the Job Founded in 1989, SINBON is a leading provider of integrated design and production services for electronic components. We are currently looking for an "Environmental Health Safety Specialist" for our new MX Site in San Luis Potosi. ***Only English Resumes Will Be Considered*** Department: Administration Reports To: General Management Level: Associate (2 years experience required) Job Summary: The EHS Specialist will be responsible for ensuring compliance with local and international environmental, health, and safety regulations at our manufacturing facility in Mexico. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive EHS programs that not only ensure strict compliance with Mexican federal and state regulations (including NOM standards), and international standards, but also implementing and maintaining ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 systems. Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and enforce EHS policies and procedures in line with OSHA, STPS, NOM standards (e.g., NOM-019, NOM-030, NOM-035), company requirements, and ISO 45001/ISO 14001. Conduct regular risk assessments, job safety analyses (JSAs), and safety inspections. Manage environmental management programs, including waste management, air emissions, water conservation, and energy efficiency. Ensure full compliance with SEMARNAT and PROFEPA regulations and ISO 14001 standards. Plan, organize, and deliver safety training sessions and emergency preparedness drills (e.g., fire, earthquake, chemical spills). Investigate workplace incidents and near misses, perform root cause analysis, and follow up on corrective/preventive actions. Maintain meticulous and up-to-date EHS documentation and generate comprehensive reports for internal review and compliance with government audits (e.g., PROFEPA, SEMARNAT), ensuring data accuracy and timely submission. Serve as the primary point of contact with local regulatory bodies, proactively coordinate and secure all required EHS permits. Lead, maintain, and continuously improve the ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems, including planning and executing internal audits, facilitating management reviews, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across all relevant functions. Ensure EHS compliance of external suppliers and contractors. Lead and implement the ISO 14064 greenhouse gas inventory. Assist with carbon footprint assessments and sustainability initiatives. Stay current with updates to Mexican EHS legislation and ensure effective communication and implementation of new regulatory requirements within the facility. Support and implement Group EHS initiatives and projects. Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field. Minimum of 2 years of experience in an EHS-related role within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Strong knowledge of STPS regulations and local environmental laws (including NOM series). Practical experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 implementation. Familiarity with NOM-019 (safety committees), NOM-030 (occupational health services), and NOM-035 (psychosocial risk) is highly preferred. Proficiency in English and Spanish (oral and written) is required. Strong communication, training, and problem-solving skills. Required Certifications: STPS-recognized training (DC-3 format) First Aid, Fire Safety, or HAZMAT handling
