About this Role We are seeking a skilled Clinical Documentation Specialist to join our team in Guadalajara. This role is part of a U.S.-based healthcare consultancy that delivers high-impact consulting, education, and managed services to hospitals and medical groups across the United States. Key Responsibilities: Analyze inpatient medical records to assign accurate principal and secondary diagnoses using ICD-10-CM coding conventions. Ensure MS-DRG and APR-DRG grouping accuracy aligned with clinical documentation guidelines. Collaborate with healthcare providers, coders, and quality departments to advance CDI practices and improve patient care outcomes. Write and communicate clear, compliant, and effective clinical queries to physicians. Contribute to policy development, training programs, and quality improvement initiatives. Utilize electronic health record systems and CDI/coding software as used by client healthcare providers. Audit and contribute to education and mentoring on documentation accuracy and regulatory compliance. Requirements: Minimum 2 years of experience in acute care hospital settings. Degree in General Medicine (MD or equivalent). Strong command of the English language (spoken and written). Familiarity with ICD-10 and clinical documentation regulations. Excellent attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills. Team-oriented and self-driven with a high level of integrity and professional ethics.
