**Job Description**:**Work Appropriately**On Site: This position requires to work on site on a full-time basisHybrid: This position requires to work 3 days on site 2 days at home remote on a full-time basis**Responsibilities**:**What will you do?****The Role**:- Conducts internal compliance investigations regarding allegations of business misconduct and wrongdoing, and brand protection investigations. Investigative steps include interviewing, reviewing video surveillance system (VSS) footage, maintenance of chain of evidence, report writing, and may also include surveillance activity.- Reports results as directed by the GM Global Security Investigations Manager.- Provides clear, concise documentation at a level that would support employment action or filing of charges/prosecution by an administrative agency or in a court of law.- Functions in an independent manner as well as in a team setting, demonstrating superior judgment and effective oversight of investigations.- Reviews reports to determine trends and patterns for possible follow-up investigations.- Performs risk assessments as part of investigative process to identify weaknesses in either physical security or internal controls.- Interfaces effectively with law enforcement agencies, internal GM business units/staffs, and suppliers.- Maintains current working knowledge and follows both legal and General Motors’ requirements with respect to investigations, interviewing, and surveillance.- Maintains and applies a working knowledge of commonly used drugs, behaviors related to use of such drugs, and detection techniques.- Carries out all duties in a legal, ethical, and professional manner in accordance with General Motors Winning with Integrity.- Functions as a leader in a team environment to ensure GM inquiries/concerns are addressed in a confidential, discreet, and appropriate manner.- Ensures that the privacy rights of the parties are protected and information is shared on a legitimate need-to-know basis.- Oversees and performs multiple investigations in a prioritized, timely, and efficient manner.- Records investigation activity using General Motors’ electronic management municates and documents findings in a timely manner.**Additional Job Description**:**Your Skills & Abilities**:- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school.- Five years’ progressively responsible, investigations-related experience.- Demonstrated ability to lead work within a team environment on complex and confidential issues.- Demonstrated ability to prepare accurate, clear, concise reports, presentations, and records.- Demonstrated ability to professionally and clearly communicate both verbally and in writing with customers, employees, and others.- Experience interviewing and obtaining written statements from individuals.- Working knowledge of international, federal, state, and local criminal law and rules of evidence pertaining to theft, fraud, drugs, and employment law.- Basic understanding of lawful investigatory practices including interviewing practices, privacy rights, surveillance techniques, search and seizure, and risk assessments.- Ability to travel on short notice as work assignments require.- Ability to function as a self-starter and to lead a team on multiple, concurrent projects.- Competent planning, project management, organization, and time management skills needed to appropriately prioritize and complete special projects and daily work.- Excellent communication skills to present complex information to management and co-workers, and to conduct investigations.- Strong analytical skills to evaluate complex data and develop reasonable analysis, appropriate conclusions, and/or innovative solutions.- Computer skills to develop logs, process records, and meet regular reporting requirements.- Fluency in English and Spanish (written and verbal).- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.**What Can Give You a Competitive Advantage**:- Corporate investigations experience.- Experience interviewing and obtaining written statements from individuals.- Investigator certification (ACFE, CIA, or similar).- Basic understanding of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), including civil and criminal remedies.- Working knowledge of commonly used drugs and detection techniques.- Fluency in Portuguese.- Proficiency with EthicsPoint Incident Management / AIMS tool (GM’s case management and anonymous reporting tool).**Required Qualifications**:- Bachelor’s Degree: Criminology, Investigation- Required experience in similar position: from 3 to 10 years ( Experience in corporate security investigation)- English Level: Intermediate / Advanced.Skill: Law enforcement background, corporate investigation or criminology experience**This position is required to travel constantly to San Luis Potosí.**In case you need any reasonable adjustment to continue with your process, let your recruiter know.Just so you know
