Materials Manager

The Materials Manager is responsible for leading the planning, procurement, control, and efficient flow of materials to ensure uninterrupted production and on-time delivery to customers. This role ensures optimal inventory management, cost control, and compliance with corporate and legal requirements across the supply chain. Key Responsibilities Lead the functions of materials planning, purchasing, warehousing, logistics, and traffic. Ensure production schedules are met by securing material availability on time and in full. Develop and execute sourcing strategies to optimize costs and minimize supply risks. Implement inventory management policies that balance efficiency, cost, and customer service. Monitor and improve KPIs such as inventory levels, turnover, obsolescence, OTIF, and forecast accuracy. Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to maintain effective supply chain planning. Drive continuous improvement projects in logistics, warehousing, and procurement to increase productivity and reduce costs. Ensure compliance with corporate policies, trade regulations, and applicable legal requirements. Develop, train, and motivate the materials team to achieve high performance. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, International Trade, or related field (Master’s degree preferred). 7+ years of experience in materials, logistics, or supply chain management within the manufacturing industry (automotive or Tier 1 experience preferred). Proven experience leading cross-functional teams. Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent). Expertise in inventory management, procurement processes, and international trade. Advanced English (required for corporate and international customer interaction). Strong analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
