Audit Manager – Financial Services

Forvis Mazars is seeking an Audit Manager – Financial Services! As an Audit Manager at Forvis Mazars Mexico, you will join our Audit & Financial Services team , where you will lead financial audit engagements for clients in the financial sector (including banking, insurance, fintech, and other financial intermediaries). In this role, you will ensure compliance with International Standards on Auditing (ISAs) , applicable accounting frameworks (CNBV, CNSF, IFRS, Mexican GAAP), and local regulatory requirements. You will play a critical role in delivering high-quality audit services, developing talent, fostering strong client relationships, and contributing to the firm's inclusive and sustainable growth. Key Responsibilities Plan, execute, and review financial audits under ISAs and regulatory accounting frameworks (CNBV, CNSF, IFRS, Mexican GAAP). Supervise and mentor engagement teams, promoting a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance environment. Maintain ongoing communication with clients, providing tailored, value-driven solutions aligned with their business needs. Review working papers, financial statement disclosures, and audit reports, ensuring quality and regulatory compliance. Manage multiple engagements simultaneously while meeting deadlines and budget expectations. Collaborate closely with Partners, Directors, and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on quality standards and project goals. Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention efforts, and contribute to internal training and development activities. Participate in business development efforts, including client proposals and presentations to expand the firm’s financial services portfolio. Actively promote a culture of integrity, diversity, equity, and inclusion within the team and with clients. Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) developments, and emerging technologies impacting the audit profession. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Public Accounting, Finance, or a related field. +6 years of experience in public accounting, preferably at a professional services firm. Intermediate to advanced English proficiency (spoken and written). Solid knowledge of SIPRED and Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Strong organizational and people management skills. Results-driven, outgoing, and a team player. What can we offer?
