Fiat Chrysler-STELLANTIS México ((Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Lancia, Maserati, Jeep, Chrysler, Dodge y RAM, Peugeot, Citroën, DS, Opel y Vauxhall), Global Company in the automotive sector is looking for a Project Economics Manager Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Finance or related degree field 8 years of Automotive Industry experience Experience in vehicle / component design / release engineering, vehicle finance cost, program management, and / or component cost analysis Excellent leadership communications / people skills Attention to detail Able to manage change and present ideas / concepts to all levels of management Able to motivate and lead people that do not report directly to you MS Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook). Advanced English Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree Excellent relationship building skills Ability to present ideas and concepts successfully to all levels of management Ability to productively manage change Excellent communication skills (oral and written) Excellent MS Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) Engineering vehicle cost analysis experience Familiarity with finance terminology Experience using financial management systems (Fastcar2 is preferred) Tooling and variable cost estimating Engineering vehicle cost analysis experience Familiarity with finance terminology Experience using financial management systems (Fastcar2 is preferred) Tooling and variable cost estimating Responsabilities: The Economics Manager is responsible for managing cost development (cost loops and assessments) for programs up to and including the contract commitment milestone. Activity begins with Intention Milestone and continues through Contract Commitment Milestone and potentially to the end of life for a vehicle program. The Manager will own the target development process to ensure total production cost and supplier tooling costs are complete and rational to support the business case. The Manager will work with multiple cross functional organizations and all levels of management from senior executives to product Design and Release Engineers. Critical skills: Develop component level cost targets, applying vehicle top-down budget allocation. Understand and apply reference vehicle data and Low Cost Country savings to EBOM component level data. Understanding of vehicle construction by systems (Body, Chassis, Powertrain, Interior, etc) and subsystems (Underbody, suspension, trim, cooling, HVAC, etc). Understand part break up of vehicles and how they are assembled. Ability to identify and organize technical commodities into their functional purpose. Identify and propose design alternatives to meet and exceed aggressive cost targets Lead cross functional team reviews of cost status to target, component sourcing, governance cost report outs.
