We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of : JR Regulatory Reporting and Transformation Analyst Role purpose: We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Junior Regulatory Reporting & Transformation Analyst to join our Finance Change Delivery focused on Finance Transformation & Regulatory Excellence. This role blends project coordination, business analysis, and testing, primarily focused on supporting change for U.S. regulatory reporting (e.g., FR Y‑9C, FR Y‑14Q/M – but not limited to this reports) and UK PRA capital and financial reports (e.g., PRA110, COREP/FINREP). You’ll collaborate with Finance, Risk, Regulatory Policy, and IT teams to ensure the timely, accurate, and compliant delivery of capital adequacy and financial regulatory reports. Main activities: Enable smooth regulatory reporting delivery within transformation initiatives—specifically relating to Finance Regulatory Reporting requirements. Translate complex regulatory requirements into business requirements, functional documentation, process maps, and test scripts. Work with Stakeholders to define Business Requirements for system releases. Assist in the implementation and enhancement of reporting systems and workflows. Conduct testing (SIT/UAT): prepare test plans, execute scenarios, log and track defects. Testing and validation of IT functional designs and Business requirements for in-scope release components Raising and re-testing defects, as required, to achieve fully functional system solutions to meet in-scope Business Requirements Support for subsequent stakeholder UAT phase - analysis and issue resolution as required. Support standardization and process automation to improve reporting efficiency and consistency. Assist in research of Production defects and data quality issues to identify root cause. Facilitate issue resolution to ensure that the release schedule remains on track and that functional issues are solved through appropriate, agreed solutions. Work closely with diverse Business and IT teams, to ensure test issues and defects are successfully resolved. Gain a detailed knowledge of Business requirements written by other team members / stakeholders and understand how solutions delivered through releases will meet them. Be conversant with the principles of US and UK reporting and understand the functions of relevant Business stakeholder areas. Support successful functional test phases, both within the programme and also externally involving stakeholder areas (UAT). Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field. 1–3 years (including internships) in roles such as regulatory reporting, financial/capital reporting, business analysis, or supporting transformation projects in financial services. Advanced English. Proficiency in data analysis tools: Excel and SQL required; Power BI or similar tools is stongly desired Exposure to testing cycles (SIT/UAT) or creation of business documentation considered a strong plus. Any prior involvement in Basel implementation, CCAR, or PRA transformation projects is highly preferred. Experience of working in a large banking organisation preferred An understanding of the basic principles of Capital & RWA calculation & reporting An understanding of the basic principles of Accountin, Finance and Risk Familiarity with U.S. regulatory submissions (FR Y 9C, Y 14, FFIEC 101) and/or UK PRA returns (PRA110, COREP/FINREP) are a plus Business analysis skills: requirements gathering, gap and impact analysis, documentation, process mapping. Testing skills: proficiency in writing test scripts, testing strategy and execution, defect logging—experience with tools such as JIRA or HP ALM Strong analytical and problem-solving capability. Excellent written and verbal communication—able to engage with both non-technical and technical stakeholders. Organized, self-driven, and capable of managing shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of regulatory reporting platforms like Moody’s, AxiomSL, OneSumX, or Regnology is advantageous. You’ll achieve more when you join HSBC!
