Public Policy and Government Affairs Consultant

Speyside is seeking a Public Policy and Government Affairs Consultant to lead and support client engagements in government relations, public policy, and stakeholder relations. The ideal candidate will combine strong consulting expertise with business development skills, managing senior-level stakeholder relationships and delivering strategic counsel to clients across diverse industries in Mexico and Latin America. Key Responsibilities Lead the design and execution of public affairs strategies, ensuring alignment with regulatory trends and political developments. Build and maintain relationships with government officials, industry associations, and key opinion leaders. Deliver high-quality insights, briefings, and policy recommendations. Drive new business opportunities, including pitches, proposal development and client outreach, among other activities. Coordinate cross-border projects and contribute to regional thought leadership initiatives. Ensure best-in-class client service and project delivery. Qualifications Min. 5 years of experience in public affairs, consulting, government, or regulated industries. Proven understanding of Mexico’s political, economic, and regulatory landscape. Excellent communication skills in both Spanish and English. (English proficiency is a must) Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain high-value stakeholder networks. Ideally experience in consultancy and public sector Hybrid work: 3 days at the office.
