Senior Automation Specialist

Electromechanical Technician As an Electromechanical Technician, you will play a critical role in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of automated equipment. You will work closely with customers to understand their needs and provide technical support and training to ensure optimal performance. Key Responsibilities: Equipment Installation and Maintenance : Install, calibrate, and maintain automated equipment at customer sites. Routine Maintenance : Conduct routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance of equipment. Troubleshooting and Repair : Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical issues with automated systems. Perform on-site repairs and adjustments to equipment as needed. Technical Support and Training : Provide technical support and training to customers on the operation and maintenance of automated equipment. Service Calls and Equipment Failure Resolution : Respond to service calls and correct equipment failures and faults. Record Keeping and Process Improvement : Maintain detailed records of service activities, including maintenance logs and repair reports. Recommend improvements to service processes and equipment design. Required Skills and Qualifications: Education and Experience : Associate's degree, Technical degree, or equivalent experience. Hands-on Experience : 3-5 years of hands-on experience working with automated equipment. PLC Controls Platform Experience : Experience in Allen-Bradley or equivalent PLC controls platforms. Network Communications Platform Experience : Experience in DeviceNet, PROFIBUS, Ethernet, or equivalent network communications platforms. Electrical Troubleshooting Skills : Electrical troubleshooting skills including wiring, AC power, AC motors, electrical drawings/schematics, and control panels. Servo Drive and PC Controller Knowledge : Knowledge of servo drives, PC controllers, DC power supplies, and optical devices (e.g., encoders, photoeyes, etc.). Automated Equipment Knowledge : Knowledge of automated equipment, preferably automated material handling systems.
