Server Lifecycle Specialist

Role Description: The Software Certification Product specialist plays a pivotal role in Lenovo's product enablement process, ensuring that Lenovo servers are certified with leading operating systems and hypervisors. This position is crucial throughout the server lifecycle to guarantee solution performance and end customer satisfaction. A software certification specialist will have opportunities to enhance collaboration and negotiation skills while working with a truly global team. Key Responsibilities: • Oversee overall OS & Hypervisor certification during the complete server lifecycle. • Define support level statements for different OS vendors. • Develop and maintain the OS & hypervisor roadmap. • Manage OS requirements for various enablement processes. • Track project status and resolve any issues that may arise. • Ensure all deliverables are prepared on time and negotiate targets as necessary. • Collaborate with multiple teams to address specific OS requirements for various solutions. • Provide support across different geographies for end customer needs or specific requirements. Qualifications: • Bachelor's Degree and 4+ years in product/program management or software development (or equivalent experience). • Effective communication skills for a multicultural team. • Strong negotiation skills and resilience. • Solid project management, leadership, and cross-group collaboration skills. Ability to analyze complex problems, think critically, and create innovative solutions. • Adept at managing and maintaining relationships between multifunctional team members. • Technical background is desirable but not essential
