Key Responsibilities As a Casino Department Head, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the casino. This includes achieving revenue targets, ensuring guest satisfaction, maintaining compliance with gaming regulations, and directing staff performance. Hiring Requirements A minimum of two to five years of managerial experience in a casino function within an upscale hotel or cruise line is required. Candidates must have completed a Gaming Board-approved dealer school program. Familiarity with financial management, including expense reduction and revenue growth through promotional activities, is essential. The ability to manage headcount to support business needs is critical. Strong communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills are necessary. Superior customer service, team-building, and conflict resolution skills are also required. Proficiency in computer software and basic accounting knowledge, including principles of debits/credits, adjusting entries, and corrections, is expected. Knowledge of human resources policies and practices for managing international staff is beneficial. A Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field from an accredited college or university is preferred.
