Job Title: Rare Disease Patient Program Liaison This role focuses on developing and maintaining a patient-centric approach to support individuals living with rare diseases. The Rare Disease Patient Program Liaison will provide expert guidance on the company's medical strategy and patient support program implementation. About the Role This position plays a key role in delivering value on the outcomes, experience, and access of patients with rare diseases. It requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure effective training and implementation of patient support programs. Key Responsibilities Patient Support Program Development: Oversee activities integrating the medical affairs perspective towards the creation and maintenance of high-value patient support programs for rare disease patients aligned with the medical strategy. Training and Implementation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure training of families & HCPs on the risk management plan (RMP), support to the Patient Support Program (PSP) implementation in collaboration with medical operations, development of materials to promote adherence, and timely reporting of safety events. Treatment Administration: Develop a training strategy for families and HCPs on the administration of treatment and medical devices, as needed. Field Visits: Conduct in-field visits with key customers, PAGs, and KOLs to oversee PSP implementations and progress, take feedback for future initiatives, and comply with values, processes, and policy. Periodic Report Analysis: Collaborate in the PSP periodic report analysis and dissemination of insights to relevant internal stakeholders. Patient Needs Identification: Identify unmet needs of patients and their caregivers related to their medical condition to identify opportunities for improving their quality of life through UCB's initiatives as part of the medical strategy, in partnership with the GAPA Manager. Issue Handling: Handle and communicate issues related to PE/PO implementation to ensure transparency, compliance, and best practices. Patient Input Collection: Collect and convey patient input in key projects, following the PE process, to ensure that their insights are considered in project objectives, in partnership with the GAPA Manager. External Partnerships: Manage interactions with external direct-to-patient agencies that assist UCB in maintaining relationships with patients, ensuring thorough follow-up on activities (e.g., PSP enrolment process). Patient Education: Provide patients through the PSP with educational materials, resources, and explanations to help them better understand their condition, treatment plans, and self-care strategies. Requirements Bachelor's degree Minimum of 2+ years' experience directly interacting with patients Strong analytical skills and data management Ideal expertise in program management
