Executive Purchasing Specialist

Alstom's direct purchasing team is seeking a skilled professional to take on the role of Direct Buyer in Mexico City. This challenging position will involve managing procurement processes for direct materials, negotiating contracts and agreements with suppliers, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, business administration, or engineering, as well as experience in procurement processes and supplier management. Key Responsibilities: Manage procurement processes for direct materials Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders Support cost optimization initiatives while maintaining quality standards Required Skills and Qualifications: Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field Experience or understanding of procurement processes and supplier management Manufacturing, industrial or automotive background Conversational English Familiarity with contract negotiation and supplier evaluation Proficiency in ERP systems and data analysis tools What We Offer: We value passion and attitude over experience.
