Hazmat Documentation Specialist

Job Title: Specialist Hazard Communication The Specialist, Hazard Communication plays a pivotal role in ensuring the accurate classification and documentation of hazardous materials. This position is instrumental in maintaining regulatory compliance and providing critical information to stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Hazard and Transport Classification: The Specialist will classify products based on data from industry associations, vendors, regulatory mandates, and the IFF Toxicology team. Daily classifications will be prioritized and completed according to established protocols. SDS and GHS Label Authoring: The Specialist will create and update Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and Globally Harmonized System (GHS) labels for various products. Poison Control Notification (PCN): The Specialist will manage PCN as required for products marketed in the EU or Korea, ensuring timely notifications and compliance with relevant regulations. Customer Support: The Specialist will provide exceptional support to inquiries and document requests originating from the shared mailbox, responding promptly and professionally. Additional HazCom Duties: The Specialist will perform other HazCom-related tasks as assigned by management. Required Qualifications: Experience: 3-5 years in a relevant field with a proven track record of regulatory compliance and documentation. Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Biology with a focus on Organic Chemistry. Language Skills: Advanced level of English language proficiency.
