Company Description SMS Mexico, located in Tlalnepantla, offers design, manufacturing, and after-sales service support for information and communication technology (ICT) products. The company's customer base consists of global and regional brand OEMs (original equipment manufacturers). Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Human Resources Manager at SMS Mexico. The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for overseeing recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, employee relations, and compliance with labor laws. This role encompasses leading the creation and execution of HR policies, programs, and initiatives that align with the organization's strategic objectives and foster a positive, engaged, and high-performing workforce. The HR Manager will act as a strategic business partner, working with department leaders and offering advice on employee relations, talent management, compensation and benefits, and regulatory compliance. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: The Opportunity & Your Impact Employee Relations Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices Investigate and resolve employee complaints, grievances, and disciplinary issues in a fair and timely manner Maintain detailed documentation and ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations Talent Management Develop and execute effective talent acquisition strategies to attract, assess, and retain top talent Oversee the onboarding and orientation of new hires, ensuring a seamless transition into the organization Design and implement learning and development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth Manage the performance management process, including goal setting, feedback, and performance reviews Compensation and Benefits Analyze compensation data and benchmark against industry standards to ensure competitive and equitable pay Administer the company's benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off Serve as the main point of contact for employees regarding compensation and benefits inquiries HR Operations Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring compliance with data privacy and security protocols Oversee the processing of payroll, timekeeping, and other HR administrative tasks Collaborate with the IT department to implement and maintain HR information systems and technologies Compliance and Reporting Ensure the company's HR practices and policies comply with all relevant labor laws, regulations, and industry standards Prepare and submit required HR-related reports and documentation to internal and external stakeholders Stay informed of changes in employment legislation and best practices, and communicate updates to the organization Develop and maintain ISO related documents for the department Manage, obtain, or maintain current and future certifications such as ESR, ISO, Great Place to Work G&A Oversee company events, trainings, audits, & customer visits arrangements for meals, coffee breaks Serve as main point of contact with outsourcing vendors such as cleaning and security services QUALIFICATIONS: Who Are We Looking For? Bachelor’s degree or above in Psychology, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field Minimum 10 years of experience in a generalist HR role, preferably in the service or tech industry Thorough understanding of HR best practices, labor laws, and compliance requirements Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with all levels of the organization Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive decision-making Recruitment, Training, and Performance Management skills Knowledge of labor laws and regulations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Conflict resolution and employee relations skills Experience in HRIS and HR analytics Ability to handle confidential information with integrity Fluent in Spanish & English BENEFITS: You’ll love working at SMS because...
