Quality Assurance Specialist - Metal Products

Supplier Quality Engineer As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality performance of our organization. Your primary objective will be to evaluate and assess various materials and components, requiring substantial experience in engineering, contracting, quality control & assurance processes, policies, and procedures. Evaluate and assess various materials and components to ensure they meet our quality standards. Develop thorough quality assurance criteria based on critical dimensions and requirements from prints and samples. Analyze root causes of product failures and implement corrective actions. Collaborate with suppliers to improve their quality processes and reduce defects. Key Responsibilities: Inspect parts from suppliers, both in-process and final, to ensure they meet our quality standards. Assist suppliers with PPAP preparation and documentation, including CPK, Control Plan, FMEA, and gage R&R. Develop QAIP for critical dimensions defined by us and our customers. Interface with customers and suppliers on technical and engineering issues. Perform production reviews on new products, including interfacing with customers and our QE Teams worldwide. Requirements: University degree in Mechanical Engineering or work experience equivalent. Knowledge of special manufacturing processes, such as mechanical assembly, machining, casting, welding, heat-treatment, injection-molding, polishing, and painting. Excellent customer and vendor relations skills and experience. Microsoft Office Suite experience: Excel, Word, Outlook. Work Environment: The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, efficiently working under pressure, within deadlines, or other time-essential constraints. This position requires frequent travel, both domestically and internationally, to support business needs.
