Financial Controller

As Controller for the Mexico operations, you will lead the financial stewardship agenda, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and robust internal controls across all business functions. This role serves as the key liaison among local operations, shared services, tax, audit, and global governance teams. You’ll be responsible for maintaining financial integrity, driving process simplification, and supporting strategic decisions through reliable and timely financial insights. This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring financial stability while contributing to the transformation of the broader finance organization. Key Responsibilities: Governance & Risk Management Lead the country-level internal controls and compliance framework (SOX and statutory). Oversee internal and external audit processes and ensure timely resolution of findings. Monitor and mitigate financial and operational risks. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements. Financial Reporting Ensure accurate and timely month-end closings and consolidated financial statements (USGAAP / Local GAAP). Manage statutory accounts and balance sheet integrity. Support tax audits and coordinate with regional and global tax teams. Business Partnering & Process Excellence Partner with commercial and supply chain finance teams to ensure alignment on cost control, investments, and working capital. Collaborate with shared services to monitor service quality and drive continuous improvement. Lead initiatives to simplify and enhance financial processes. Team Leadership Lead, mentor, and develop a team of finance professionals. Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence. Profile: 5+ years in Controlling, Audit, or Finance Operations in multinational or matrixed environments. Strong knowledge of USGAAP, local GAAP, and internal control frameworks. Experience working with shared services, tax, and global finance functions. Proficient in SAP, Power BI, Excel, and other financial tools. Bilingual in English and Spanish. Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
