Overview Dahua Technology is a global manufacturer with +20,000 employees. The Legal Counsel provides comprehensive legal support to all business units within the Dahua México region and collaborates with the headquarters Legal Department in China, local managers, and directors on a broad range of legal matters. Position: Legal Counsel Seniority level: Executive Employment type: Full-time Job function: Legal and Consulting Industries: IT Services and IT Consulting Responsibilities Draft and negotiate commercial contracts related to the distribution of video surveillance products and solutions. Oversee corporate governance matters. Ensure compliance with anti-bribery laws, data privacy and security regulations, competition laws, and product compliance standards. Provide counsel on labor laws and collaborate with the HR team. Provide general legal guidance to each company’s departments. Manage business disputes, litigation, and arbitration proceedings. Develop and implement legal and compliance training courses and policies. Qualifications Experience in legal matters involving Chinese corporations is a key requirement. Organizational skills and ability to follow policies and procedures; complete administrative tasks correctly and on time; support the organization’s goals and values; promote diversity and action. Oral communication: speaks clearly and persuasively, listens for clarification, responds well to questions, participates in meetings. Written communication: writes clearly, edits for spelling and grammar, presents data effectively, and interprets written information. Ethics: treats people with respect, keeps commitments, works with integrity, upholds organizational values. Quality: demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness, seeks improvements, applies feedback, self-monitors quality. Interpersonal skills: focuses on solving conflicts, maintains confidentiality, listens without interrupting, remains open to new ideas. Language: Must be able to speak and write fluently in English. Juris doctor/juris master degree from a nationally recognized law school. Minimum five years of experience practicing corporate law. Extensive knowledge of and experience advising on compliance. Experience drafting and negotiating commercial distribution and project agreements.
