Job Description and Compensation Range 6 ($10,725.84 - $17,471.26) per month based on the 2024 Management Salary Schedule. New employees: Initial salary placement is commensurate with related experience. Promoted or transferred employees will be placed as specified in the CBA and is non-negotiable. Position: 1.0 FTE, 12 months, Position Number: 003418, Management Range 6, Academic Department: Student Development. Position Overview Under the direction of a Vice President of Student Services, plan, organize, and direct major instructional, support, and student services programs on a college campus or large continuing education site. Manage and provide leadership to large programs involving certificated personnel such as faculty counselors, academic support, student affairs, and others. Supervise staff directly or through first-line supervisors. Responsibilities Plan, organize, coordinate, manage, and evaluate instructional or support programs in accordance with legal requirements, policies, and sound practices. Establish objectives, assess needs, and facilitate development and implementation of new programs/services. Evaluate facilities and equipment, recommend improvements, and communicate program objectives to stakeholders. Supervise departments such as Counseling, EOPS, CARE, UMOJA, PUENTE, and others. Hire, supervise, and evaluate faculty and staff; coordinate professional development. Develop and monitor budgets; manage categorical and grant funds. Represent the District at various levels and coordinate special projects and studies. Prepare reports, facilitate conflict resolution, and perform other duties as assigned. Additional Responsibilities Manage student development and matriculation programs, including orientation, advisement, and follow-up. Provide leadership, coordinate projects, oversee budgets, and lead student services efforts to support student success and retention. Qualifications Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution and one year of related leadership experience, OR Lifetime California Community College Supervisor Credential and two years of recent management experience in higher education. Desired Qualifications Knowledge of leadership, program evaluation, governance, and current trends in education. Skills in interpersonal relations, supervision, budgeting, communication, and assessment.
