Product Design Specialist

About this role At our organization, we are seeking an exceptional professional to fill the position of Design Engineer. This individual will be a member of our Product Development Team and report directly to our Design Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for creating detailed 2D or 3D designs using CAD software for complex projects. You will work closely with Application Engineers and customers to develop concept designs and redesigns from request for quotation to production launch. Responsibilities: Develop and maintain high-quality design deliverables for various product lines. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish project timelines and ensure timely delivery. Lead and/or contribute in design review meetings to drive design excellence. Document design decisions and communicate them effectively to stakeholders. Support manufacturing by providing technical drawing assistance to meet specified design requirements. Requirements: Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical or equivalent field. Proficiency in Solidworks or CATIA V5 software with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience. Ability to analyze data and situations to develop creative solutions. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with others to solve problems. Experience in designing connectors and battery packs for electric vehicles is preferred. Knowledge of GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis is desirable.
