Position Overview Ensure the successful launch of a new project into production, primarily overseeing the following aspects: Execute, together with the project team, the manufacturing of pre-series and series samples from Gate 1 to Gate 7. Manage the development and planning of infrastructure and operational capacity (personnel, equipment, space, etc.) in parallel with product and process development. Organize the development of a logistics concept. Coordinate the implementation of engineering changes. Organize the transition of the new project to production. Main Responsibilities Understand the project schedule and ensure the timely and proper execution of assigned activities. Responsible, along with the operational and project teams, for the planning, scheduling, manufacturing, inspection, and logistics of all samples from Gate 1 to Gate 7.. Report the status of each run to the Plant Management and Project Managers. Manage the development and planning of the infrastructure and resources (personnel, equipment capacity, layout) necessary to support the project in parallel with product and process development. Monitor the development of the production system and tooling, maintaining continuous communication with the various departments of engineering, metrology, production, quality, logistics, etc. Adhere to the approved budget and obtain cost-effective quotes for solutions. Identify the activities under the responsibility of operations in the project's Gate Checklist, ensure their timely completion and adherence to the required quality standards, and provide evidence of the implementation of each of these activities. Actively participate in project meetings organized by the Project Manager. Coordinate the operations team to ensure a successful production launch and that the production project handover form is fully completed and signed on time. Attend internal and external project audits as required. Participate in engineering activities and meetings for the continuous improvement of the department and its processes. Coordinate the team for the implementation of engineering changes for pre-production and production runs. Job Requirements & Qualification At least three years with Project development and launch experience in automotive supply environment with demonstrated experience developing, motivating, and leading a team. Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business required. PMP Certification a plus. Good communication & co-ordination with various teams. Leadership skills to lead the project along with the Cross Functional Team. Problem solving skills to address issues and mitigate them. Good knowledge of IATF / VDA requirements, APQP, PPAP, etc. Hands on experience as project leader with direct interaction with customers and internal team. Knowledge of sheet metal progressive stamping, plastic injection molding is a plus.
