The Supply Chain Manager Sr works in a high-quality, customer-driven, fast paced Agriculture packaging environment. This is a hands-on management position requiring strong leadership,management,negotiating and supplier facing skills. This position also interacts with other departments such as sales accounts managers,planning, manufacturing and finance.Responsibilities:· Oversees the purchasing and supply chain of all raw materials, rigid, flexible,paper and labels· Develops deep relationships with the supplier community and drives supply chain cost improvements proactively· Proactively seeks to diversify the supply chain with an eye on optimizating allocations by supplier· Performs risk assessments on current supply chain models and takes the initiative to make the needed changes· Responsible for building a strong support team that proactively looks for optimizing costs, maximizing efficiencies and supports the operational teams with the goal to improve customer service and sales.· Develops regular supplier summit conferences either virtually or in person· Maintain and improve the supplier performance scorecard on aspects such as price, quality,volumes and lead times· Analyzes inventory levels, and inventory management systems to ensure the right inventory exists and meets the budgeted targets· Provides long range planning and forecasts for production to all suppliers both domestic and international· Maintain and update the Product database (Product Central)· Work with the vendor community to identify cost effective freight and shipping options. Update the true landed cost for goods purchased.· Oversee the quality requirements of purchased goods in conjunction with the operations/quality teams· Oversees all pricing and margin targets for customers and works with finance and the GM to optimize margins· Regularly reviews SLOB inventory and establishes corrective actions to eliminate and or reduce in conjunction with the sales team· Effectively counsels and manages employees on attendance, performance and/or misconduct · Creates a team environment and fosters a sense of ownership and accountability. Proactively supports succession planning and training initiatives for self and direct reports.· Other duties as assignedRequirements:At least 10 years of supply chain/purchasing management experience directly overseeing a team. BA/BS degree in management preferred with strong analytical skills· Outstanding customer service skills and ability to work in a team environment with a diverse group of employees· Moderate travel requiredBilingual, English and Spanish a must. US Visa Basic understanding of P&L and cost drivers including COGSMust have strong leadership,people management and organization skills. Ability to work a flexible work schedule with a "hands-on" management style.Experience with JD Edwards ERP systems a huge plus.Bunzl Distribution has a tradition of commitment to equal employment opportunity.
