Position Summary Medical Science Liaisons act as conduits of information about new research developments, clinical trial activities, and therapeutic approaches. The job involves cultivating and maintaining relationships with academic researchers and leaders, attending conferences and talks, presenting information to pharmaceutical product teams, and marketing new therapeutic products to physicians and other healthcare professionals. Medical Science Liaisons work closely with various stakeholders throughout the therapeutic product development process and translate complex academic information into engaging, persuasive messages. They also assist in developing digital media campaigns aligned with client’s business goals. Key Competencies Good written and oral communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills with a high level of knowledge & sensitivity to the needs of patients, healthcare providers, and payers Ability to develop and maintain an effective professional network and establish partnerships and strategic collaborations Strong planning and organization skills; demonstrated work ethic and integrity A passion for influencing peers, customers, and colleagues through compelling scientific and patient insights Excellent communication and presentation skills, including training sales and marketing teams; ability to listen and learn Requirements and Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Sciences, General Medicine, or Neurology Deep understanding of the local health system with demonstrable credibility with KOLs and other key clinicians/health experts Experience in interpreting clinical trials and statistical analysis, with the ability to deliver clear insights to senior medical groups At least 1 year of experience in generating digital media content Strong scientific and clinical understanding Proficiency in computer skills and visual platforms Experience as an MSL or in rare diseases Excellent time management skills Strong teamwork skills IQVIA is a leading global provider of clinical research services, commercial insights, and healthcare intelligence to the life sciences and healthcare industries.
